Bracketing in photography is when three photos of the same subject are taken in different exposures. I changed the aperture and shutter speed to get the different exposures for these photos. By lowering the shutter speed and aperture, I was able to get a more exposed and bright photo. Increasing the shutter speed and aperture, caused the photo to be underexposed.
Revenge of the Goldfish © 1981 Sandy Skoglund
I found this piece on the internet while looking for Inspirational photographers. This resonated with me instantly and I'm not sure if it's because of the color scheme or how the person in the background is so highlighted and framed, or maybe just by the unusualness of all the pieces together, but it's something that draws me in.
Breathing Glass 2000 Sandy Skoglund
This is another piece a found randomly while looking for inspiration. I knew I wanted to have a second Sandy Skogland photo because after finding her work, I really love her use of dimensions and color. This piece inspires me because it is an art installation as it is a photo, both in museums.
Flower Power 1967 Bernie Boston
I found this photo in a history textbook I had in High School and it's profound message stuck with me ever since. This was the first photo I chose as inspiration because it captures a beautifully real moment, something utterly vulnerable.
